When we need Him!

We find ourselves in need of him all the time, and you know whats amazing.  He's always there!  The author of "I need thee every hour" had it right.  We need him every single second.  I recently found myself in such a place and wow did God speak powerfully.  Just two days ago I found myself feeling angry, sad, broken, ashamed and so so sorry!  You see I failed to stand up for Him when it would have counted.  I just left when I should have spoken up.  I came home and blared music.  Later I went to my basement bathroom and blared music again and cried (literally). And I read the first passage of love in my important scripture page.  Which by Gods loving care was the first verse on the page.  It was Matt 11 this is the chapter that ends with "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.  Now if that is not power I don't know what is!  But you know what is awesome He didn't stop there.  The next day I felt that I was still alone.  Slowly through that day God showed me that He is near even when it doesn't feel like it.  In my quiet time that day I read Habakkuk 3:2-6 16-19 which say LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, O LORD. Renew them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His glory covered the heavens and his praise filled the earth. His splendor was like the sunrise; rays flashed from his hand, where his power was hidden. Plague went before him; pestilence followed his steps. He stood, and shook the earth; he looked, and made the nations tremble. The ancient mountains crumbled and the age-old hills collapsed. His ways are eternal.  Habakkuk 3:16-19 says I heard and my heart pounded, my lips quivered at the sound; decay crept into my bones, and my legs trembled. Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity to come on the nation invading us. Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.  We Serve A Mighty God!!

Did you notice where it said: I stand in awe of your deeds, O LORD. Renew them in our day, in our time make them known (Verse two).  At love your city the speaker talked about the lords prayer: Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.  In the very beginning there it says Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done IN EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.  The speaker said something that I always knew, but had never realized we are to be making earth like heaven through His power.  

To end this I feel the only words that fit are: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul.

What We Should Be About.

We should have a good quiet time.  I would suggest morning and night and fill all other time with prayer and praise.  When I was struggling with my quite time, I asked Joe Veal (Great Guy - Amazing).  He directed me to the passage of mana in the Bible.  He said the answer was there.  He was right.  God sent mana from heaven in the morning and meat at night.  What he was saying was have a devotion in the morning to start your day off right.  (Not to much in the morning.  God told them to take what they could eat and no more.)  Then at night have your main devotion and don't forget to pray.  It is so important and powerful, if used right.  In God's Word He says,

Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17

I would suggest thinking about the TV shows you watch and the music you listen to.  If they don't honor God then remove them from your life.  As my pastor's wife says, "Garbage in - garbage out!"  That's pretty clear.  Some good alternatives are Toby Mac (Rap), Superchick (just amazing), or maybe Stellar Kart (very good).  If you would like more, please ask.  

The final thing I want to bring out, is one of the defining characteristics of Christianity.   !!!GOD LOVES YOU!!!

He went to the cross, he bled and died.  God sent his only son to die for our sins.   John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.   God came from heaven to have a personal and intimate relationship with you!

Ask And You Shall Recive.

When we try to explain why we aren't sharing the love of Christ, we come up with some pretty lame excuses.  Such as, "I don't know what to say."  Or maybe, "I'm scared."   And we call ourselves children for God.  We proclaim allegiance to God on Sunday, but don't walk the walk as soon as we step out the door for lunch.  Now I'm not trying to make you feel bad.  What I'm trying to do is convict any and all of simply staying silent.  God has said in his word that If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. And in 2 Timothy 1:7  For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self discipline.

This is a quote by a reformed Muslim He says "If we understand this doctrine we shake the world".  Now, how about that?  It's like it says in Acts 17:6c-7 which says, "These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;
Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, [one] Jesus.

The reason for being a Bio Hazard

The point of this blog is to share the amazing love Jesus Christ has given to us all as a free gift.

He went and died for my sin and He Died For Your Sins.  Through this blog I want to any answer any questions you might have about God or struggles you might be having. 

I know the fear of speaking up, too well.  It's time to stop being a motionless person for God.  It's time to stand in the power of God.  2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God did not give us a Spirit of timidity, but a Spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline."

In Romans 12:2 it says. "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what Gods will is-His good, pleasing and perfect will."

So, read your Bible and meditate daily on what is being said in His word.

And remember God is with you in the trenches of life and he is with you when you're crying by yourself.
